Position Summary:
The Welder position will fabricate and repair metal, equipment, parts, and other materials by applying welding techniques in a safe and efficient manner. This position will use welding machinery and follow company and state welding practices.
Day in the Life:
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials as required
- Operating equipment including but not limited to: saws, drills, grinders/buffers, plasma cutters, MIG welder/torches, pallet jacks, arc, gouging, jib and overhead cranes.
- Reading and interpreting team leader instructions and written orders
- Repair customer equipment as required
- Meeting/exceeding customer requirements for production and quality
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure proper function and performance of installed/fabricated parts
- Notify supervisor when item is complete and ready for inspection
- Packaging/labeling items according to production guidelines
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Welding aluminum and steel using MIG welder
- 1 to 2 years of welding experience
- Experience in industrial work environment
- Knowledge of how to use welding machinery, hand tools, and various shop tools
- Specific vision abilities required; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
