Your Job:
In collaboration with the Director of Sales, the Territory Manager must develop and apply the company’s sales and marketing strategies while considering the growth opportunities in the incumbent’s assigned sales territory.
Your Responsibilities:
Job requirements may include the following where applicable:
- Develops maximum sales potential through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses.
- Builds and maintains quality relations with assigned accounts/territory and increases account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis.
- Follows up with sales leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns, and other promotional efforts to expand current customer base.
- Contacts current customers via telephone, correspondence or in person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company.
- Investigate problems; prepare reports; develop solutions and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints.
- Managing the entire sales process from prospect to close.
- Maintaining a consistent call schedule.
- Prepare sales projections, sales goals, and success tracking.
- Work with manufacturers to develop programs in our customers’ best interests.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills /Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or 3 years’ experience in material handling or related field
- Possess strong ability to prospect, negotiate, and close sales
- Prior experience and strong ability using computer applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Word and sales related software packages
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities in a changing environment. (required)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, vendors, and customers. (required)
- Prior experience in customer service, and material handling/industrial equipment environment. (preferred)
- Ability to operate reach-truck, stock-picker, pallet jack, & pass forklift certification
- Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team player.
- Maintain a good attendance record

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require sitting for long periods of time working in front of the computer, physically lifting and moving up to 50lbs. (on occasion), walk on concrete floors with the ability to use full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, and reaching.
