Job Description:
As an Equipment Handler at H&C Rents, you will perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. Your primary objective will be to conduct weekly inventory of equipment, ensure equipment is rental ready, and conduct Record360 inspections. Your strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude will make you an asset to our branch and the entire organization. You will be supported by a strong management team that will help you achieve your goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly inventory of equipment.
- Clean trash out of equipment.
- Wash equipment.
- Inspect all out-going equipment.
- Conduct record360 inspection/pictures for out-going equipment.
- Keep batteries watered.
- Keep all electric equipment charged for rent.
- Inspect all incoming equipment.
- Grease equipment.
- Fuel equipment upon rental return.
- Conduct record360 inspection/pictures for returned equipment and report damages.
- Keep trash picked up from yard.
- Keep yard, shop, and equipment organized/trash taken out.
- Keep wash bay cleaned/filters changed.
- Conduct oil changes/filter changes on equipment.
- Cross train with technicians – learn PM's.
- Conduct quarterly inspections on equipment.
- Assist technicians with big repairs.
- Ensure all equipment is properly stickered/labeled.
- Keep inventory of parts- filters/oil/diesel inventory (notify manager when diesel is low).
- Unload LTL trucks.
- Conduct PDI on new equipment.
- Stage equipment for out-bound shipment (no digging required for drivers).
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Skills, experience, and education needed to perform the job:
- Must demonstrate an ability to be able to prioritize while remaining flexible and able to pivot quickly to support the needs of customers, service technicians, and other departments.
- “Can Do” winning attitude.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 2 years of Customer Service Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Assistance will be provided if needed.
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and twisting motions are required to perform job duties effectively.
