General Purpose of the Position
The Parts Associate is responsible for managing the shipping and receiving of material in the Parts Department. This individual will store and retrieve parts in the warehouse with a great focus and attention to detail. This person will prepare parts orders for technicians and customers to pick up at the parts counter. This person will assist with other duties in the parts department that may include: loading and unloading trucks, transporting parts between locations or to customer locations and any duties deemed necessary by the part manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support all team areas (Sales, Parts, Rental, and Service) in shipping and receiving activities and provide effective scheduling
- Receive and stock parts, locate new parts, relocate parts when for space requirements
- Prepare parts to be picked up by technician or customer at the parts counter
- Organize paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completion
- Keep a neat and orderly work area
- Maintain and care for parts department ensuring all areas are indicated and labeled properly
- Cycle counting of designated inventory locations
- Participate in all parts inventory counts
- Transportation/transfer of inventory from one branch to another
- Hot shot parts from office to customer location (as necessary)
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks
- Provide feedback to Parts Department leadership on parts regularly used, overstocked, etc.
- Utilize all available resources to provide the highest level of customer service possible
- All Verbal and Written Communication must be done in the English Language
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technician procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to use reference books, materials, and microfiche.
- Certification and ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintains an acceptable driving record as determined by out automobile insurance carrier
- General mechanical aptitude and ability is necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- General understanding of Windows operating system (including email and MS suite applications) and cell phone usage.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
