Job Title: Tire Pressman

General Purpose of the Position
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The Tire Pressman focuses on the replacement of worn tires on all types of industrial equipment but mainly forklifts
- The repair work is performed in the field at customer sites or in shop
- With the support of the tire supervisor, prioritizes work orders, and ensures all paperwork is submitted timely and accurately
- The Tire Pressman is responsible providing excellent customer service and for maintaining company provided assets, including all work tools and tire truck
- Positions equipment to safely remove, roll, and position tires on the press
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates tire press to press tires and hubs together
- Assists with assembling components per tire specifications
- Loads and unloads of tires from industrial vehicles to service vehicles safely
- Is responsible to fill out work orders, obtain customer signatures, finalize jobs, and mark as complete
- Establishes consistent communication with the customer and keeps them informed of work status and any other pertinent account information
- Provides daily status updates to the supervisor and reviews any customer issues or concerns
- Leads by example in promoting a safe workplace
- Training/Upkeep
- Maintain and care for all shop tools and equipment.
- Keep a neat and orderly work area or service vehicle.
- Maintain and care for personal tools, tool chest, and equipment.
- Continuously review all product service bulletins, updates, and information relating to the repair and servicing of equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in equipment, technology, and models.
- Reporting/Record Keeping
- Prepare parts requisitions for service/repair work being performed.
- Prepare reports and labor details required for assignments and turn them in to the Service Manager.
- Account for all time worked, materials used, and work orders to which the time and materials are related.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to use reference books, materials, and microfiche.
- Certification and ability to operate material handling equipment.
- General mechanical aptitude and ability is necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- General understanding of Windows operating system (including email and MS suite applications) and cell phone usage.

Education and Experience Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
