Description

SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk-Sales Coordinator will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department to ensure that the company's daily accounting functions are accurately and effectively recorded.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To facilitate the sales process, candidate must be able to multitask while dealing directly with manufacturers, sales representatives, customers, and other companies, as well as the aftermarket departments within our company. Candidate must have excellent customer service / people skills and a professional demeanor. Effective organizational, written and oral communication skills are required. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Requirements

SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, (strong Excel skills)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Maintain reports, as needed
  • Provide sales support for overflow work from Sales Team when immediate assistance is required
  • Self-Motivated and Team-Oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely fashion
  • Daily data entry in the business systems
  • Research and restore accounting discrepancies
  • Perform all functions in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Process credit card payments and provide receipts to the customer
  • Post payments to customer accounts
  • Set-up and maintain customer accounts to include D&B reporting, and customer reference checking
  • Excellent typing and 10-key skills
  • Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Assist Receptionist in covering the phone and front desk, as required

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 to 3 years' related experience (required)
  • Experience with accounts payable and / or accounts receivables, including cash applications
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Display initiative in organization.
  • EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of related experience. Material handling or heavy equipment industry experience a plus.

    WORK CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Light lifting may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
