Position Summary
The RPG Developer will be able to provide custom solutions to customers through the complete SDLC. This role is able to provide analysis and design work by providing technical documents and flow charts for business understanding. This role will technically lead and mentor other developers to produce error-free development. Supports business applications by trouble shooting and debugging existing applications. Serves as a contributor to multi-departmental project teams. Completes administrative tasks such as password enablement, account creation, printer and spool file management etc... Monitors system performance and message / job queues.
Essential Position Duties
- Ability to design, develop applications as requested by customers
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with different customers simultaneously
- Consult with internal customers and identify technical solutions to solve business problems
- Ability to drive innovation in solutions
- Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for iSeries development and explain businesses processes and flows
- Ability to work with individual team members and help if any technical challenges are reported
- Ability to work individually or in a team setting with various backgrounds and skill levels
- Ability to multiple teams in a project setting to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Monitor for QSYSOPR messages and respond accordingly
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Additional duties as assigned
