Position Summary :
This position will be responsible for the design and development of various mechanical systems for battery electric forklifts.
Position Responsibilities / Duties :
- Specify main system parameters and design components to meet product performance and durability requirements
- Calculate load handling and steering system performance characteristics
- Perform structural analysis on new and improved sheet metal assemblies, castings, forgings, and welded assemblies
- Collaborate with suppliers on product specifications and testing requirements
- Create, manage, and execute development schedule for system responsibilities
- Manage part, assembly, and drawing revisions using CAD, PLM, and BOM systems
- Collaborate with testing group to validate system designs and performance
