Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity. In addition, TME R&D is developing new businesses which can benefit from technologies developed/used in battery electric vehicle (Example: Li-Ion Battery).
Your project
- Investigation of Battery Energy Storage System BESS technology and market in Europe.
- Performing market volume estimation and following ongoing projects in Europe.
- Support BESS development by client energy consumption/production simulation, electrical/mechanical design of BESS.
- May support battery cell testing.
Your Profile
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- You have interest in renewable electricity field
- You have experience in BESS and/or energy storage area
- You have good knowledge of electrical design in the field of energy storage
- You are familiar with electrical energy production and consumption simulation tools
- You are good at summarising complex data analysis and presentation
- You have good knowledge in Microsoft-office tools

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
