Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
Toyota Technical Center (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, design & styling, development and production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements. Within our R&D-organisation, Styling Design division plays a key role in the early design and styling development of our future models.
The Styling Modelling Team creates clay and hard models for production. Creating models as the final presentation requires. Incorporation the use of clay, foam & hard materials as well as understanding and inputting digital data to the model by use of 3 and 5 axis milling machines and scanning equipment.
Your project
- Develop Exterior and Interior clay models in full size and scale for presentations and internal reviews
- Read and interpreted sketches, renderings, verbal instructions, scan data and engineering data
- Fabrication and hard modelling when needed
- Dress models for review. Dinoc, Foil, Paint etc…
Your Profile
Your profile
- Speaks fluently English (TME’s business language)
- Have an affinity with cars
- Can work as part of a team as well as independently
- Can read and interpreted sketches, renderings, verbal instructions, scan and engineering data
- Understand armature/frame construction relevant to model making
- Understand of 3 axis measuring equipment for digitizing and balancing
- A general understanding of the use of wood shop machinery

Duration: 2months

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
