Team description
Hydrogen Factory Europe is established within TME as a local business operation to co-ordinated the commercialisation of hydrogen technology and systems – spanning everything from development and production, through to sales and aftersales.The Hydrogen Factory is responsible for producing an increasing number of fuel cell systems and supporting a widening group of commercial partnerships, in line with the company’s strategy to achieve carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040.The R&D team within Hydrogen Factory Europe is responsible for design and development of the whole hydrogen system for a wide range of projects (inhouse and customer projects).
Your responsibilities
- Define project requirements and break into system specifications
- Perform initial feasibility studies to assess complexity of the project
- Develop design concepts for the various systems considering both application and system requirements
- Utilize advance tools for system modelling and perform basic simulation and analysis for initial concept design judgment
- Complete the detailed part design considering performance, cost, mass, NVH, safety, manufacturability and others
- Cooperate with simulation members to analyse both application/system design & detailed part design
- Cooperate with suppliers and manufacturing plant to optimize the design for manufacturability
- Release the 2D drawing, follow-up manufacturing process and judge part quality at delivery
- Engage with stakeholders, to gather feedback and optimize system integration based on customer needs
Your Profile
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- You have a Master Degree, or higher, in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- You are able to perform technical studies using basic engineering calculations ( for mechanical, thermodynamic, … problems )
- You understand and are able to make technical drawings & technical specifications
- You are team player and can work closely with other designers, suppliers and project management supporting divisions
- You understand the various hydrogen technologies
- You are familiar with different kinds of manufacturing technologies and their design requirements
- You have a keen interest in the automotive industry
- You can demonstrate creative thinking to solve complex issues / problems with attention to details
- You deliver results on time
- You have experience with 3D modelling software and basic simulation tools
