The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Indirect Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products, services. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its IT suppliers. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities
- You develop and implement category and sourcing strategies in areas like Information Technology, hardware and services (and other indirect categories) across Europe
- You negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best competitive price, based on specifications required
- You manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
- You are responsible to make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management.
- You develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends
- You work with Global Toyota Purchasing. You will develop category strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies.
