Your team and your responsibilities

Total Cost of Ownership optimisation is crucial in high-power applications with multiple Fuel Cell models. The modules’ operating efficiency and degradation rate can be optimised through combined control of several modules. You will be contributing to the development of such a multi-module control software used to control large generator-type hydrogen Fuel Cell applications. The software will be integrated in Toyota Fuel Cell products and sold to third party applications as an embedded software in the customer-Fuel Cell interface ECU. Following activities are included in the internship:

  • Improve the control model by creating Matlab simulink models
  • Run Model in the loop simulations to confirm updated logic with guidance of MBD engineer
  • Auto generate software from your updated models and keep track of changes with guidance of MBD engineer
  • Create test patterns and risk assessments to verify your change points with guidance of test planning engineer
  • Follow-up testing with test bench members with guidance of testing manager
  • Do data analysis of your testing and make report with guidance of MBD engineer & project leader

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • University student with at least 2 yrs of study completed (DataScience, Automotive, Controls or Mechatronics engineer with specific high interest in control logic and model-based design using Simulink)
  • You have interest in: Control of complex systems by embedded software
  • You have interest in: Getting experience working for a global project in a multi-cultural environment
  • You have experience in making control logic and running simulations in Matlab Simulink
  • Experience or interest in the field of Hydrogen power generation is an asset
  • You have good knowledge using excel and powerpoint for reporting purpose
  • You have experienced group work and can communicate effectively
  • You are used to document your work and communicate regularly about your output

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
