Your team and your responsibilities
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data, usage of AI and connectivity.
- As part of the methodology development team you will gain knowledge on Hardware in the Loop (HiL) systems development including sub-system simulation specifically applied to bi-directional charging (V2G)
- You will actively contribute to setting up the HiL system and perform system functional testing and debugging, problem solving
- You will actively contribute to testing and result analysis of equipment under test (On-Board Charger, wall box etc.)
Your Profile
- University engineering student with at least 2 yrs of study completed
- You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visum to work in Belgium)
- You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
- Open personality and able to work independently in a multi-cultural business environment
- You are highly motivated to engage on the forefront of automotive electrification
- Fluent in English, able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way
- MATLAB, Python or any simulation tool/language and basic powertrain background is an asset

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
