Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
Chassis Division’s responsibility is:
1) Development of chassis parts and systems (suspension, tyres, steering, brake, wheels, shifter, steering wheel, …) to achieve the highest driving performance and quality at a competitive price.
2) Local development of chassis parts for vehicles built in Toyota’s European assembly plants. This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.
3) Investigation and pre-development of new European technologies.

Your project
Background
One of the most important aspects of vehicle dynamics performance is the development of vehicle handling, it means how well the vehicle responds to steering inputs from the driver.
To enhance vehicle manoeuvrability, analysis tools are continuously improved with a strong focus on the post-processing of handling data obtained from test measurements and simulations.
Tasks
The main task of the internship is to contribute to a better Toyota vehicle development by the extension of an automated tool to process handling evaluation data coming from test tracks. In that goal, the following steps are foreseen:

Education level required:
Preference for candidates from Automotive / Mechanical / Computer Sciences Engineering
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have willingness to learn and be passionate about automotive products.
Technical skills / Expertise / Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of coding (Matlab is a must)
- Knowledge about vehicle dynamics
- Background in handling data analysis is an asset
- Analytical approach and problem-solving mindset

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
