Your team and your responsibilities
Team description
As part of the TME R&D organization, the Powertrain (PT) Division is responsible for development of powertrains for locally build vehicles, for planning and research of new technologies as well as for development support towards TOYOTA Motor Corporation (TMC).The Powertrain Design is part of the R&D 2 Powertrain Division. We focus on the development, sourcing & application of powertrain mechanical parts.
Your responsibilities
- Design driveshaft for BEV based on provided specification and boundary conditions
- Make vehicle parts list according to Toyota rules
- Make and release RDDP's for development of drivetrain components
- Check and release technical drawings of drivetrain component
- Collaboration with suppliers and Toyota plants in order to ensure on-time and good quality parts
- Components modifications according to Toyota rules, including ECl's, RDDP's drawing
- Drivetrain manual making, and submission for validation by designated Toyota engineer
- Project follow up including technical notices, homologation, Total quality check
- Quality assurance for part in mass production (market issue follow-up)
Your Profile
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- You have a Master of Science degree in electromechanical engineering or mechatronics.
- 2 years (relevant) experience in automotive mass-production development projects either at OEM or TIER 1 suppliers.
- Knowledge on Functional Safety and Cyber security development frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills, perseverance, autonomy as well as the ability to work as part of a team. A tireless problem solver, with intellectual curiosity and the drive to investigate technical facts in-depth.
- Required computer skills: MS Office, any other software knowledge is a strong asset (Catia, Creo, … ).
- Ability to communicate in a clear way at all levels and to visually summarise progress.
- Fluent in English (writing, reading & speaking). Any other European language is a plus
