Team description
The Circular Economy Business Unit objective is:
• Minimise use of virgin raw materials in new vehicle by maximising recycled content in design phase.
• Ensure Zero waste in manufacturing
• Maximise End of Life Vehicle (ELV) recycling by reintegration of this recycled material back into Toyota supply chain.
Your responsibilities
As Project Leader for Reintegration in the UK (Proof of Concept):
- Map out value chain for each material type
- Define the prioritised materials and understand the reintegration point for TME in the value chain
- Cooperate with R&D, Quality and Purchasing closely to develop action plan (short term and mid-long term)
- Develop a European-wide strategy for material reintegration, focusing on goals for 2030
Your Profile
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- University degree (Business/Engineering/Project Management)
- Previous experience in the Automotive industry with focus in Purchasing/Material Engineering
- Knowledgeable and passion for: Sustainability, Circular Economy, Engineering material waste management is a plus.
- Functional knowledge in production is a plus
- Strong communications skills to various levels
- Strong analytical skills focussed on process analysis
- Interests in understanding the relevant processes & activities of other functions linked with CE
