Body Shop/ Collision Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Mechanic to join our Collision Repair Team. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair mechanical components on vehicles that have been involved in collisions. This role involves working with various types of vehicles, diagnosing problems, and providing solutions to ensure they are safe and functional.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose Issues: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle problems.
- Scan and Calibrate Safety Systems: Perform scans and calibrations on vehicle safety systems such as ADAS.
- Component Repair & Replacement: Repair or replace faulty or damaged parts such as steering systems, suspension components, cooling and A/C systems, and other critical vehicle components.
- Testing: Test-drive vehicles to ensure that all repairs have been completed and issues have been resolved.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labor time.
- Maintain Tools & Equipment: Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow safety procedures and adhere to regulations for handling hazardous materials and waste.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive repair preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as an automotive mechanic is preferred, but entry-level candidates with the right education and training will be considered.
- Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- Indoor garage or repair shop setting.
- Air Conditioned Shop.
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery.
Schedule:
- Full-time (may include weekends).
Compensation:
- Rate based on experience and certifications; paid off of flag hours.
