Summary
The porter assists with custodial and maintenance needs of the shop tools, equipment and bays, as well as maintaining a clean and tidy service drive.
Duties and responsibilities
- Clean the tools and machinery in the Shop.
- Provide assistance to service managers, advisors, and technicians when needed.
- Take the trash out.
- Empty oil filter buckets.
- Mop and sweep the shop floors.
- Maintain cleanliness on the Service Drive.
- Any other reasonable and related task assigned by manager or shop foreman.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years clear driving record- No previous DUI history or moving violations
- Valid driver’s license
- 1-year automotive dealership experience preferred
- Previous custodial experience
- High level of dependability and responsibility

Work Environment
This job operates in various types of vehicles and business environments that may include loud noises, odors or weather conditions.
Physical Demands
May walk or stand for long periods of time in all weather and temperature conditions. Repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, hearing, seeing and talking. Lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically weekdays, 6:00 a.m. or 11a.m., to 7:00 p.m. Saturday 8am to 5 pm. Evening, Holiday and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
