The Warranty Clerk is responsible for warranty-related claims and documentation for Toyota of Hattiesburg's service department. This position involves ensuring that warranty claims are accurately processed, submitted in a timely manner, and compliant with manufacturer policies and dealership standards. The Warranty Clerk acts as a liaison between the service department, manufacturers, and customers to facilitate the warranty process.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and submit warranty claims to manufacturers or third-part providers.
- Ensure all warranty claims are submitted within required timeframes and meet manufacturer guidelines.
- Review repair orders and invoices to ensure that all work completed under warranty is properly documented and eligible for reimbursement.
- Follow up on outstanding warranty claims and track their status to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure that all required documentation, including parts used, labor hours, and customer details, are complete and accurate for each claim.
- Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and management to gather necessary information for warranty claims.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in automotive or business administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a warranty clerk, service advisor, or in an automotive service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and warranty procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and documentation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, and dealership software.
