Job Overview:
The Automotive Internet Director is responsible for managing and overseeing the dealership's online presence, digital marketing efforts, and internet sales operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the dealership maximizes its online sales potential and effectively engages with customers through digital channels. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in digital marketing, sales strategies, and a thorough understanding of automotive retailing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Online Sales Strategy: Develop and implement online sales strategies to drive traffic, increase leads, and maximize vehicle sales through the dealership’s website and third-party platforms.
- Lead Generation & Follow-Up: Manage the dealership's lead management system, ensuring that all incoming internet leads are handled promptly and effectively. Develop follow-up strategies to maximize conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilize CRM systems to track and manage customer interactions, ensuring excellent communication, lead nurturing, and retention.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as website traffic, lead volume, conversion rates, and sales performance. Use data to refine strategies and optimize digital channels.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead, mentor, and train internet sales representatives, ensuring the team is equipped with the tools, knowledge, and skills to succeed in a fast-paced online environment.
- Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation in the digital space.
- Website & SEO Management: Work with web development and design teams to ensure the dealership’s website is user-friendly, optimized for search engines, and aligned with the latest digital marketing best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive internet sales, digital marketing, or e-commerce management. Previous experience in a dealership environment is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of automotive sales processes and online retailing.
- Proficient in using CRM systems, Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO tools, and other digital marketing platforms.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and senior management.
- Leadership and team management experience.
