Responsibilities of an Automotive Service Technician:
- Perform multipoint safety inspection on all vehicles.
- Adhere to high ethical standards.
- Remain current with all training required to maintain Certification.
- Preform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Communicate with service advisor effectively on all updates.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles when required.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Ensures customer’s cars and work area are kept clean.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must have a Valid driver’s license.
- Previous automotive repair and maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability and desire to constantly learn and improve mechanical skills.
- Certification or desire to obtain certification in all ASE standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Team player.
- Computer literate.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- High school diploma.
