Responsibilities
- Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.
- Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.
- Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.
- Assigns stock control numbers to cars.
- Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
- Delivers sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.
- Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
- Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
- Vacuum’s interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.
- Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
- Fill new and used vehicles with full tank of fuel before they go to lot.
- Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
- Replaces missing or defective small parts.
- Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times.
- Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle's window.
- Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Maintain appearance of new and used vehicles on the lot including but not limited to: cleaning, rotating and charging car batteries.
- Lot upkeep – salt walkways in winter and removing weeds in summer / other tasks assigned.
