Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Internal Audit Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager that will support the TFS Internal Audit function with data collection, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop risk based analytical insights to identify, understand, and quantify potential financial and operational risks. This role will work alongside the TFS Audit teams to execute high quality risk-based audits across the company’s various functions and will include coverage of Toyota affiliates such as Private Label, Toyota Financial Savings Bank (“TFSB”), and some regional SFCs. The Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager should possess strong business knowledge as well as strong technical, communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with Audit teams and business stakeholders to understand the business process, available data, desired outcomes, and identify the problem(s) or question(s) to be addressed with data analytics.
- Develop the approach and use descriptive analytics techniques to summarize historical data to identify patterns and trends as part of audit planning and risk assessment.
- Develop the approach and use predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques to forecast future outcomes, identify potential risks, and provide actionable recommendations to help business leaders make informed data-driven decisions.
- Document work performed including data sources, assumptions, analytical methods used, and results
- Communicate recommended actions based on data-driven insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (PowerBI), and clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Enterprise Data Management to become a trusted partner and understand Toyotas data ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with an emphasis on quantitative analysis including Business Analytics, Information Science, Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing, Consumer Insights or closely related field / STEM degree.
- 5 years of progressive experience in data analytics with prior experience leading projects and initiatives
- Proficiency in either SQL, Python, R, or other data analytics software to source and clean data, and execute analytical techniques
- Proficiency in Data Visualization (PowerBI preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong creative and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Basic statistics knowledge
- Masters Degree in any field with an emphasis on quantitative analysis including Business Analytics, Information Science, Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing, Consumer Insights or closely related field / STEM degree.
- Experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management
- Advanced statistics knowledge
