The opportunity: 

As Azure Data & ML Solutions Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and developing our data infrastructure, driving technological advancements and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future structure. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cloud computing and data engineering, as well as a strong interest in utilizing data to drive business insights. 

In this position, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in DevOps, the Head of IT and stakeholders throughout the company to offer technical guidance on the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all Azure-related products and services. Additionally, you will be responsible for building a roadmap for the future of our Azure Data platform, including the integration of Azure Machine Learning. 

The primary tasks:  

• Design, implement, and manage data solutions on Microsoft Azure. 

• Develop and implement a roadmap for the Azure Data platform, including Azure Machine Learning. 

• Create and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. 

• Develop and manage data storage solutions such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB. 

• Ensure data integration and ETL processes are efficient and reliable. 

• Monitor and optimize data storage and data processing tasks. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. 

Qualifications: 

We seek a team member who can identify with the description below: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with Azure. 

• Strong knowledge of data management and storage solutions on Azure. 

• Experience with machine learning and data analytics 

• Experience with data integration tools like Azure Data Factory. 

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Azure Databricks and Apache Spark. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

It is an advantage if you have:  

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification. 

• Experience with machine learning and data analytics. 

• Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices. 

• Experience with data visualisation tools like Power BI
