The opportunity:
The Global Purchasing manager will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain management and centered at our Copenhagen office.
As a Global Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small central purchasing team all situated in Copenhagen, as well as developing a community between purchasers globally within the organization.
You and your team are responsible for managing the full order-to-pay process. Ensuring seamless cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely deliveries based on forecasted demand.
The primary tasks:
- Own and optimize global purchasing processes
- Support management in developing and executing relevant strategies.
- Track and report on KPIs such as vendor delivery performance, availability, and spend control.
- Provide relevant instructions, training, and ensure compliance within the global purchasing team.
- Align with divisions and internal stakeholders on a continuous basis
- Ensure orders are placed based on input from Sales & Operational Planning and ensure timely deliveries from suppliers to support daily operations
- Maintain continuous alignment, follow up on KPIs & manage relationships with supplier
Qualifications:
We are seeking a Global Purchasing Manager who can identify with the description below:
- Extensive work experience in purchasing or other supply chain-related positions
- An educational background in Supply Chain or related areas.
- 3-5 years of managerial experience
- Experience with reporting and project management skills
- Strong operational purchasing performance.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management and cost-effective, high-quality purchasing.
- Aviation background is a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision while building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various audiences, including senior leadership.
- Highly organized with a meticulous approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting data and generating actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
