IT Project Manager

The opportunity:  

In this position you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects that are rooted in out IT department. As the IT Project Manager you will be a hands-on part of the project team, by leading and coordinating the efforts of the team members and any external contractors or consultants assigned to the projects.  

The projects will vary from development oriented to implementation of new tool while your role as the IT Project Manager is to ensure high standards of project process within the resources available and staying abreast of the latest industry trends.  

The primary tasks: 

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. 
• Being an active member of the project team as well as being the Project Manager/facilitator 
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. 
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. 
• Track project milestones, deliverables, budget and resource allocation. 
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. 
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 
• Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.  

Qualifications:  

We seek a team member who can identify with the description below: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• 3-4 years of experiences with project management within IT 
• Ability to translate technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. 
• Proficiency in project management software  
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and digital security. 
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage budgets for projects. 
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing resources. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify impact project timelines. 
• Excellent communication skills and some experiences with external stakeholder management 

It is an advantage if you have: 

• Certified: PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) 
• Well-versed in the inner workings of an IT department including understanding the software development lifecycle, methodologies and best practices
  
• Experience with project focusing on development tools and platforms (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, Docker). 

Skills and Attributes: 

• Strong skills in organizing and managing meetings to ensure productive outcomes 
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and the ability to create flexible project schedules 
• Ability to write compelling business cases that justify project investments and align with business objectives 
• Understanding of IT quality management metrics and the ability to ensure high standards of project deliverables
