Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Subscription Services and User Operation to lead the end-to-end subscription business for TP-Link’s Tapo Smart Home product line. This role will be responsible for the global strategy, design, and execution of subscription offerings—covering pricing, packaging, feature planning, data analytics, and growth operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in scaling recurring revenue and delivering best-in-class user experience through a subscription-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Own the overall subscription service strategy and execution for consumer electronics products, including plan design, pricing, feature planning, and delivery—accountable for subscription revenue performance.
Lead subscription growth initiatives by leveraging user data, experience journeys, and conversion funnels to drive acquisition, retention, and upgrades.
Design and implement localized subscription strategies tailored to user behaviors and market characteristics in different countries and regions.
Build a robust user analytics framework, including event tracking, behavior modeling, and insight generation to inform decisions on revenue growth, engagement, and repurchase rates.
Evaluate and integrate third-party marketing tools (e.g., Firebase, AppsFlyer, Braze) to enhance Tapo’s user engagement and lifecycle marketing capabilities.
Monitor global subscription trends and competitor offerings, introducing innovative features and experience optimizations to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or above, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Data-related fields.
5 years of experience in managing consumer SaaS or subscription services with a proven track record of end-to-end product lifecycle management. Global experience preferred.
Deep understanding of user growth, retention, and subscription funnel strategies; strong analytical thinking and business acumen.
Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills to align product, engineering, data, marketing, and legal teams toward subscription growth goals.
Familiar with software development lifecycles; capable of defining products and guiding the team to deliver high-quality PRDs and drive implementation.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving results efficiently in a fast-changing business environment.
