Position Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety as well as managing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and machine servicing for all the organizations’ facilities. Focus on safety and safety practices first and foremost at all task inceptions. Represent TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
·Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout and facility expansions.
- Develops and implements a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
- Conducts and documents regular facility inspections.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and industry code.
- Obtains quotes from vendors and suppliers and negotiates contracts to optimize cost savings.
- Assures security of all facilities and responds to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- · Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Performs a variety of plumbing and maintenance functions.
- Detects faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situation to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- 4 years of manufacturing experience, strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC experience.

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
- Able to work long hours standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout shift.
- Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.
- Frequently be able to lift and/or move items over 60 lbs.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- OSHA 10 Certificate.
