We currently have a position available as a Maintenance Manager in our Westville, Indiana manufacturing facility.
Primary Purpose of the Position
This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, upkeep, and housekeeping of our interior and exterior facilities. Performs or arranges to be performed all Maintenance work including plumbing and pipe fitting; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and maintaining the condition of buildings, floors, stairs, hardscaping, and landscaping. The individual will work with complex projects and processes from the early stages of development in order to ensure facility upkeep, maximize the ability to manufacture, minimize cost and drive continuous improvement.

- Manage facility construction and maintenance projects through design/specification, quotation, fabrication, installation and verification phases.
- Develop and publish work instructions and SOPs for operation and maintenance of facility, equipment, processes.
- Provide documented training to appropriate personnel for maintenance of facility and equipment.
- Support of routine (PM) and non-routine facility equipment trouble-shooting or maintenance activities.
- Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose, and repair equipment.
- Dismantle equipment, install working parts, restart equipment, perform verification of equipment.
- Performs all assigned preventative maintenance work and updates records accordingly.
- Makes structure repairs or performs construction of masonry, woodwork and furnishings, plaster/plaster board, paint/wallpaper, walls, ceilings, and trim.
- Performs basic plumbing and electrical maintenance and installation activities.
- Hands-on maintenance of equipment, fixtures, and facilities for all locations. To oversee and direct the daily activities and responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance staff to ensure that facility systems and equipment are maintained and serviced.
Education
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering/Maintenance Discipline or Journeyman Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Minimum of five years working with HVAC
- .
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing capital projects or construction projects including the management of staff.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements related to General Industry and Construction (OSHA 10 Certificate preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical safety and NFPA standards – preferred licensed Electrician status.
