Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our future establishment in Manhattan. The candidate will be trained and work in our Flushing location once hired until the Manhattan location opens. The ideal candidate will be fully trained to learn the SOP for tea barista and kitchen preparation. As a shop manager, you will help with training of new staff, possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Supervise daily shop operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and collaboration.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Implement and provide training for staff
- Oversee food preparation activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide assistance to customers as needed, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Prepare drinks and work In the kitchen as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within the hospitality or retail sectors.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in inventory control techniques and best practices for stock management.
- Experience in interviewing candidates and selecting the right talent for the team.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles, particularly within coffee shops or similar environments.
- Ability to effectively supervise staff while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- A passion for helping others, whether through direct customer interaction or by supporting your team members in their roles.
