This will be a combo bartending role, splitting time between out prestigious Oak Room Bar (members only) and satellite banquet bars based on business needs.

High End - Country Club/Private Members Clubs and/or Hotel bartenders preferred.

Responsibilities/Duties

Set up the bar(s) in accordance with TPC Concert Golf Standards.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of bartending experience, preferably in high-end establishments (Country/Member Clubs, luxury bars, fine dining restaurants, upscale hotels).
  • Experience with craft cocktails, classic mixology, and specialty drinks.
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles with a strong ability to handle high-pressure environments.

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, and other alcoholic beverages, including the origins, characteristics, and ideal pairings.
  • Expertise in cocktail creation, including both traditional and contemporary mixology techniques.
  • Strong understanding of bar tools and equipment, and the ability to use them efficiently.
  • Knowledge of high-end service standards and etiquette.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, especially in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, ensuring a clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained bar.
  • Ability to memorize a wide range of drink recipes and preferences of regular guests.

Appearance

  • Well-groomed, professional appearance and adherence to dress code requirements

Certifications

  • Bartending certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) or similar qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.

Cocktail Creation & Presentation

  • Prepare and serve a variety of premium and classic cocktails, ensuring a perfect blend of ingredients and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
  • Customize drinks to suit the personal preferences of members & guests while recommending unique cocktails or signature drinks.
  • Stay up-to-date on new trends in mixology and continually strive to innovate the drink menu.

Members & Guest Interaction & Service

  • Always greet members by their last name where possible.
  • Greet members promptly with a warm, engaging demeanor, making them feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Provide personalized service by remembering repeat customers’ drink preferences and making tailored suggestions.
  • Engage in friendly and respectful conversation while maintaining a professional atmosphere.
  • Handle complaints or special requests with tact, ensuring guests have a positive experience.

Bar Operations & Maintenance

  • Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times, following strict cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock, and assist in reordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure glassware is polished and the bar is stocked with garnishes, syrups, and other drink-making essentials.
  • Maintain a smooth flow in the bar area, managing guest orders efficiently to avoid delays and over-crowding.

Quality Control & Consistency

  • Ensure every drink is made to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Regularly check the temperature of drinks, the freshness of ingredients, and the overall presentation before serving.
  • Conduct quality checks on cocktails and bar snacks to guarantee they meet the establishment’s standards

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to local health and safety regulations, including the responsible serving of alcohol, and follow proper procedures for handling intoxicated guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, including first aid and fire safety.

Sales & Upselling

  • Actively promote high-end spirits, signature cocktails, or exclusive drinks to increase sales and revenue.
  • Create a memorable experience for customers that encourages them to return, fostering customer loyalty.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with fellow bartenders, waitstaff, and management to ensure smooth bar operations.
  • Communicate drink orders efficiently with the kitchen or other bar staff to ensure quick and accurate service.

Upscale Experience Management

  • Maintain a refined ambiance by ensuring that both the physical environment (lighting, music, cleanliness) and the service experience are in line with the establishment’s luxury standards.
  • Take on a leadership role during busy hours, mentoring junior bartenders or training new staff on high-end service standards.

Customer Experience

  • Create an exceptional and memorable experience for every guest, providing excellent service in a polished, sophisticated manner.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and offer an experience that is more than just ordering drinks—making it an event in itself.

Financial Transactions

  • Accurately process payments, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system with precision.
  • Maintain accountability for tabs and tips, ensuring transactions are handled professionally and transparently.
