What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Course Server (Part-Time) (Seasonal) position at TPC Network?
TPC River Highlands is a private golf course located in Cromwell, CT, just outside of Hartford. TPC River Highlands’ championship golf course hosts the PGA TOUR’s Travelers Championship, the largest professional sports event in Connecticut. Along with the world renowned golf course, TPC River Highlands opened a brand-new state of the art 40,000 square foot clubhouse in 2019, featuring three event spaces, covered patios, two full kitchens, and an outdoor event lawn, capable of hosting events from 12-person private dining to 500-person events.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through at least 6 months previous similar experience
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Greet all arriving members/guests in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome and at ease
- Ensure that refreshment stations are properly refilled at the beginning and end of every shift
- Communicate any member/guest complaints or service issues to supervisor immediately to ensure they are quickly and professionally resolved
- Participate in the continuous cleaning and up-keep of all on-course service areas
- Prepare and serve on-course service options that meet strict standards, as outlined by the menu specifications work sheets and according to specifications prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Verify the accuracy of prices, State and Federal taxes, tips and other charges on all guest checks and accurately operate the Point of Sales system per the Operations Procedures Manual
- Maintain responsibility for all guest checks issued and immediately notify Food & Beverage management of any walk-outs
- Perform all assigned side work duties
- Keep all stock prepared and ready for use on each shift
- Handle and count cash, make accurate change, record credit cards from guests, as well as member charges, as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Complete requisition forms for all supplies as needed
- Use the proper serving techniques for all food and beverages
- Open on-course service areas, ensuring areas are clean and accommodating at all times, and in accordance with established quality standards
- Handle any problems that may arise both courteously and professionally
- Maintain responsibility for par stock inventory control daily
- Understand member/guest comments and complaints and communicate that information immediately to supervisor
- Ensure compliance with operating guidelines as it relates to the R.A.M. or Tips programs, as well as operating within all State and Federal Laws, Rules and regulations relating to Alcohol, Cigarette and Tobacco Division
- Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc. as they relate to the food and beverage operations
- Verify the accuracy of all charges (member and otherwise) to ensure proper posting to accounts. This may include verifying member numbers, names and/or signatures as well as include obtaining authorization codes on any credit card charges
- Ensure that service procedures are adhered to as outlined in the TPC Brand Standards
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 25 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.
