What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Construction Inspector position at TPD Career Center?

Our ideal candidate is seeking to grow their knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Assist in preparing daily reports, quantity measurements and computations, project progress updates and pay reports.
- Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, inspection, engineering or a related field is a plus.
- NICET all Levels a plus but not required.
- EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus but not required.
- ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
- Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
- Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License
