What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Inspector/Office Engineer position at TPD, Inc.?

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Supervise and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Assists and acts when needed in the administration of the construction contract. Provides interpretation of contract plans and specifications and reviews contractor's shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance, as applicable.
- Document all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required.
- Maintains as-built record drawings, project files, and records database including specifications, test results and reports.
- Keep inspector's daily report of assigned work activities. Performs reviews for approval of contractor's monthly schedule submittals and pay estimates.
- Assists in project administration by monitoring internal project controls and claims documentation. Responsible for logging, tracking, and processing requests for information, submittals, change orders, and other project deliverables.
- Reviews inspector's daily reports for conformance with the project requirements, plans, specifications, quantities, contractor's progress, and as-constructed data.
- Reviews, assembles, and processes the monthly progress payments.
- Attend meetings, responsible for the preparation and distribution of project correspondence / records, performance reporting, administration and scheduling, documentation of project meetings and reporting, and tasks assigned by the Resident Engineer (RE)
- Serve as on-site project representative.
