As a Qualified Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the firm’s success and managing a diverse portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include :
Client Management : Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, serving as their primary contact for financial and business advice.
Accounts Preparation : Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with accounting standards.
Taxation : Oversee corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax compliance, while offering ad hoc tax planning advice.
Audit and Assurance : Support statutory audit work as required.
Management Accounts : Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, providing analysis to aid clients in making informed decisions.
Supervision and Training : Mentor junior staff, aiding their professional development.
Compliance : Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
Business Development : Identify new service opportunities or referrals, contributing to the firm’s growth initiatives.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess :
A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Prior experience within an accountancy practice.
Strong technical skills in accounts preparation, tax, and ideally, audit.
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
