Responsibilities
- Books all of our Social market events (i.e. wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and wedding/social guestroom blocks).
- Assists in industry related trade shows and participates in promotional activities.
- Team player in developing marketing strategies for the Sales Team and ways to improve overall sales for all markets with his/her colleagues.
- Represents Mill Falls at the Lake while attending all Bridal Shows and other networking opportunities as required.
- Attends weekly Food and Beverage meetings.
- Monitors and communicates customer needs to other departments and is aware of upcoming events and/or groups in house.
- Assists with special projects as requested by Director of Sales and General Manager
- Details/ Attends social market events, based on overflow/vacation needs within department/ team.
- Arrives 1-2 hours prior to any function he/she has detailed and remains until he/she has confirmed that Banquet Manager is ready to take over.
Requires strong sales & negotiation skills, food & beverage skills and the ability to up sell and enhance each event.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication skills – both verbal and written required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
- Knowledge and ability to actively sell all markets, when needed.
- Aptitude in Delphi, Springer Miller - HOST, Outlook, Excel, and Word are a must
- Ability to work well as a team and individually to meet to goals of the department
- Ability to multi-task in a very high paced environment
