IT Manager

Position Overview: Reporting to the CEO, the IT Manager is responsible for providing support to approximately 150 employees across three business units. This key role plays a crucial part in minimizing downtime by swiftly resolving issues, managing new user setups, and leading the way for troubleshooting and upgrades. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills and providing continuous improvements to enhance the user experience.

TPG Strategic Ventures represents employee groups within our business unit, which include, but are not limited to; Neon Marketplace and TPG Marinas’.

Responsibilities:

· Serve as the primary point of contact for complex and/or unresolved IT issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.

· Keep teams organized and informed about emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

· Manage the global daily IT operations to ensure the availability, stability, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure including servers, software, and hardware

· Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of TPG Strategic Ventures infrastructure

· Drive process improvements, continuously identifying opportunities to improve IT processes and workflows, increasing standardization and efficiency, reducing costs, and improving end-user experience

· Employ a data-driven approach to identifying root causes of issues, and providing regular reporting on team performance and project progress

· Manage IT procurement and expenditures to work within the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines

· Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established SLAs

· Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems from threats.

· Lead IT-related projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and within budget constraints

· Lead the implementation of new software and hardware solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations

· Oversee white-glove support to the team as needed, ensuring technology needs are met promptly and effectively

· Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency

· Attend and actively participate in meetings for local entities, department meetings, and other sub-committees as required.

· Building credibility, trust, and relationships with key leadership at the corporate and local operations level.

· Other projects/tasks as requested by direct manager

• Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Qualifications:

· A minimum of 3 years of helpdesk experience

· A bachelor’s degree or preferred equivalent relevant experience

· Expertise with Office 365, Windows, macOS, cloud services and common enterprise applications in a networked environment

· Solid understanding of hardware, software, and network systems, with the ability to install, configure, test, and maintain IT infrastructure

· Excellent written and verbal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with non-technical users

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

· Must be comfortable commuting to various locations throughout the northeast for on-site support as needed, primarily in the MA/RI/CT area, but may extend to MD and GA.
