What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Associate - Noank Shipyard position at TPG Marinas?
Position Overview: As a Yard Associate you will oversee various duties in the Spicer’s Marina and Noank Shipyard boatyards.

Responsibilities
- Launching and hauling sailboats and power boats
- Operate front end loader and hydraulic trailer
- Detailing and compound and wax
- Commission and decommission 100 commercial moorings on brand new mooring barge
- General boat upkeep and minor repair
- Bottom painting
- Shrink wrapping
- General handy work on yard assets as needed
- Ability to lift 50-60lbs as needed
- Valid drivers license required
- Follow TPG Safety and Environmental rules, willingness to take training.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
- Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
- Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct Manager.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years experience preferred.
- Basic boat handling skills preferred.
- Ability to work on-site at Spicer’s Marina and Noank Marina.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.
- All candidates must be ready, willing, and able to work a fully flexible work schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the fluctuating business demands.
