Job Title : Accounting Payable Specialist

Position Overview : Successful candiate will work on various transactional accounting tasks related to processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports, billing clients, and reconciling bank accounts. The position requires occasional periods of overtime. and currently a minimum of 3 days in the office. Candidate will enjoy premium pay for in office work.

Position Responsibilities :

• Enter accounts payable invoices from vendors into the Accounting System, match up with purchase orders, keep track of Approvers and obtain required approvals, all on a timely basis.
• Extract a weekly list of open invoices from the accounting system and review with the Accounting Manager to establish a payment list.
• Enter ACH or Bill Pay check payments on the bank’s payment systems.
• Process employee expense reports in Certify expense report software.
• Create client invoices by using established accounting system templates and pulling data from numerous sources.
• Follow up on collections and assist in resolving billing issues
• Reconcile bank accounts on a timely basis.
• Assist with documenting and improving processes. (desk procedures and process improvement)
• Assist with providing transactional and account analyses to the auditors during the annual financial audit.
• Provide other departments with vendor / customer and account analyses as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
