What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Lead position at TPGNU - The Professional Group - Non Union?
Responsible for focusing on productivity while supervising Ground Assistants performing landscaping duties. Other duties include, knowledge of ergonomic practices and be able to perform physically changeling work such as weeding, pruning and fertilization, annual planting and spreading mulch. Must be able to operated lawn cutting equipment, trimming devices and other basic landscaping equipment. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS
- Supervise Ground Assistants assigned to accounts or projects ensuring quality grounds service.
- Effectively communicate with management, peers, supervisors, clients and vendors.
- Ensure that all required paperwork is prepared accurately and timely.
- When necessary, assist Grounds Assistants with mowing grass, operating string trimmers around mulch beds, edging sidewalks and curbs and blow clipping from paved surfaces.
- Investigate and write reports of accidents, incidents, damages and submit to proper TPG authorities.
- Maintain truck, clean all tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment.
- Work in multiple locations.
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices.
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values.
- Ensure that facilities and equipment are clean projecting a positive image of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- High school Diploma is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- 3 to 5 years of landscaping experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sustained periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting and some repetitive arm and hand motion.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to sustain physically demanding outdoor work in all types of weather conditions.
