Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in the parts department of a local contracted Municipal Fleet Operation on second shift. The Representative will handle parts sales inquiries and help technicians with their parts requests for light duty vehicles such as police interceptors and city owned support vehicles.
Key Job Responsibilities: This job involves operating on a “Back Counter” in a Fleet environment. This is not a retail operation. Successful candidate must be able to work quickly without direct supervision and be able to fill requests with stocked parts and source non-stocking parts from local, remote, and on-line vendors.
- Ability to manage a large number of open orders and set expected delivery times.
- Ability to work with suppliers to ensure needed parts are correctly identified and ordered.
- Enter orders promptly and accurately.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Answer customer’s automotive parts questions
- Enter orders promptly and accurately
- Assist customers with quotes
- Properly greet and thank the customer.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of auto parts or automotive industry.
- Experience in auto parts sales.
- Able to work Monday – Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
- Ability to manage a large number of open orders and set expected delivery times.
- Ability to work with suppliers to ensure needed parts are correctly identified and ordered.
- Enter orders promptly and accurately.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:
Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required. Employee also share the responsibility to perform routine housekeeping activities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning and changing trash can liners.
