About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Analyst for our manufacturing facility in Newton, Iowa. The Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s overall quality improvement efforts, including quality data analysis, corrective and preventive actions, root cause resolution, new product qualifications, and comprehensive ISO system support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports implementation and maintenance of ISO based quality system, including internal audits.
- Supports new product implementation by assisting with qualifications.
- Helps create and standardize required documents for new products.
- Creates and implements metrics/charts for tracking key product/process data.
- Maintains material certification and receiving inspection records.
- Works with Purchasing in handling of supplier evaluations and non-conformances.
- Serves as ERP quality and engineering process owner.
- Identifies/investigates non-conformances and drives to root cause; utilizes available data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement; plays active role in continuous improvement.
- Writes and revises documents required for quality related items.
- Supports Engineering Change Request implementation and configuration management.
Who we’re looking for
- BS in engineering statistics, business, or related field and 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ASQ certification is a plus.
- Training and experience in field of Quality, such as ISO 9001, SPC, Metrology and Internal Auditing.
- Composites or injection molding experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of metrology and calibration.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
Location
This position is on site at our wind blade manufacturing site in Newton, Iowa. Relocation assistance may be available.
