About the Role
The Material Control Associate assists the materials team in maintaining accurate and sufficient inventory through materials receiving, production reporting, and cycle counting processes. Works directly with the Materials team and plant operations to that ensure all day-to-day material control activities completed efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately enter receipts
- Accurately enter production reporting, paste/resin logs
- Cycle counts materials to maintain accurate inventory
- Investigates material shortages/overages
- Assists in correcting BOM issues
- Assists with kitting improvement
- Assists with continuous improvement in the department (Kaizen, Lean Mfg.)
- Follow inspection process with the Quality Team as required
- Assists with safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Skills and Experience
- Associate Degree in Business or related area and one to three years’ experience in warehouse and materials with emphasis on inventory control, cycle counting, receiving processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interpret and accurately fill out paperwork
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Must be able to work independently
- Good attendance required
Location
This position is on site at our wind blade manufacturing site in Newton, Iowa. Local candidates only; relocation assistance is not available for this position.
