JOB DESCRIPTION
Domestic and International Travel :
Potential for 30% Travel to NAMC’s and Vendors including International to Japan, Canada and Mexico to support M.Seibi in equipment installation.
Potential for international travel 3 months after start depending on current project timing for weekend / shutdown support.
Member will need a valid passport and work permit if applicable Overtime : 50% including weekends and holidays.
- Actual robotic programming of industrial robots utilizing a 3d simulation software in an offline setting. (intermediate skill).
Delmia is the preferred software, however, we would consider other 3d simulation software for industrial robotics if the experience was there.
Client’s Body Weld PE Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated DE Seibi Technician.
The primary responsibility of this role is to perform DE studies (develop virtual robot programs, confirm process feasibility) in support of New Model implementation to North America Manufacturing Centers.
This role will also include programming robots at manufacturing or vendor facilities, supporting equipment preparation, other production related studies, development of Weld Schedules, and department efficiency / improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the DE Project Manager, the person in this role will support the Body PE department's objective to provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Compliance, while continuously improving our processes.
What you’ll be doing
Conduct DE study to produce virtual robot programs and confirm new model process feasibility
Confirm Digital Factory Condition for accuracy
Create Weld Schedule Instruction Sheets and provide other supplemental documents to customers
Conduct New Model process planning (DE) studies
Support Machine Seibi in new model preparation activities, including programming robots at vendor locations or manufacturing centers
Prepare and confirm new or modified Body Weld equipment at the vendors or manufacturing centers
Develop equipment countermeasures during planning / set-up / trial phases
Up to 30% travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and / or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as international travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico.
Up to 50% overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Position will be located at PEMC, Georgetown Ky or TTC-Saline Mi
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Engineering / Technical
CAROTT SEIBI, MACHINE SEIBI or Body Weld maintenance experience.
Carott3) experience.
Visual Components (BisFactory) experience.
Body Shop Project / Mass Production Experience
What you may bring (bonus)
Associate technical degree (or higher), or 1 year of equivalent technical work experience.
Experience with robotic programming of industrial robots using teach pendants / coding.
Experience with virtual robotic programming using any 3d simulation software.
Ability to travel up to 30% at times (including international travel).
Ability to work up to 50% overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
