Job Overview
Enbridge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist I to manage technical drawing documentation for UST Assets across various projects, including Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Capital Projects, and Management of Change (MOCs). This role involves utilizing the Electronic Document Management System (Meridian) to ensure proper tracking, coordination, storage, and archiving of technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, receive, issue, track, distribute, and archive all technical drawing requests and issue packages using the Electronic Document Management (EDM) System for UST O&M, Capital, and Core projects.
- Identify and investigate issues related to data quality, process management, and potential system gaps.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing reports and summaries, collecting relevant data, and presenting findings professionally.
- Support external consultants and internal teams with necessary information, standards, and procedures relevant to drawing control.
- Assist in the continuous improvement and development of drawing control standards and procedures for UST.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of technical drawings and metadata within the EDM System.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including special project assignments and technical drawing preparation for internal and external requests.
- Provide construction and as-built drawing coordination services using Meridian Document Control Software for assigned EPC projects.
- Collaborate with Drawing Control Analysts and Drafters (UST, Offshore, and Vector) to uphold the quality of technical drawings and metadata within the Meridian system.
- Utilize professional communication and teamwork skills to achieve desired outcomes in a collaborative environment.
- Manage tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively while working independently or within a team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or related Technology Diploma, or a combination of related certifications and 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).
- Experience with Meridian or other compatible drawing management systems and the oil & gas industry (preferred).
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven and customer service-oriented environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, independent, innovative, and responsible team player with a strong work ethic and initiative.
