Job Description:
Advisor – Storage Optimization
Enbridge is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Petroleum Engineer to support the optimization of U.S. natural gas storage assets. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of a storage portfolio exceeding 153 billion cubic feet of natural gas, generating significant annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between field operations, capacity planning, gas control, and commercial services to manage daily capacity, maintenance schedules, and outages.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with outage coordinators, natural gas control room operators, and other stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor and assess storage asset performance, including:
- Evaluating physical capabilities such as injection, withdrawal, and wheeling.
- Establishing priorities for gas withdrawal and injection activities.
- Providing updates on customer postings regarding storage facility outages.
- Approving storage transactions within Enbridge’s LINK application system.
- Implementing necessary restrictions on customer storage nominations.
- Develop, manage, and update documentation, including storage operating modes, procedures, manuals, and presentations.
- Analyze historical nominations and pressure data to assess opportunities for storage field expansion.
- Offer commercial insights into the outage planning process to enhance efficiency and minimize customer impact.
- Collaborate closely with Gas Control, Integrity, Capacity Scheduling, and regional teams to ensure seamless execution of system outages.
- Clearly communicate outage impacts to commercial teams and work towards optimizing schedules with internal and external partners.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in the natural gas industry.
- 1 – 3 years of experience with process flow diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Get & Transform, SQL Queries).
