Electrical Engineer IV
Contract Duration: Until 03/23/2026 (High possibility of extension)
Location: Duluth, MN 55802
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday, Friday remote)
Travel: 20% field work/travel (mainly local in Duluth, occasional travel to LA, ME, CA once per quarter)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join our team in Duluth, MN. This is a hybrid role with office-based responsibilities and occasional field visits. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design of compressor station facilities and managing third-party engineering firms. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact gas pipeline and midstream projects while collaborating with a dynamic engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and engineering of compressor station facilities.
- Manage and coordinate third-party engineering providers (2-3 external engineers).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Conduct detailed engineering work and review technical drawings.
- Participate in design meetings and manage project deliverables.
- Work across multiple projects spanning 3-4 years in duration.
- Balance competing engineering priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Conduct field visits to oversee project progress (not a field engineering role).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
- Experience in gas compression or midstream projects preferred.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with reviewing technical drawings and material requisitions.
- Prior experience with TC Williams, Tallgrass, or Enbridge is a plus.
- PE license not required; PMP certification is a plus.
