Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Work Schedule: Hybrid work model: Onsite (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) & Remote (Wednesday, Friday).
Job Summary:
CMS Energy is seeking an experienced Planner IV to join our team. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely, efficient, and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies necessary for business operations. This role involves monitoring inventories, evaluating supply chain performance, and implementing improvements to optimize logistics, procurement, and distribution processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring seamless operations in dynamic market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and assess procurement needs.
- Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Evaluate and optimize supplier relationships, including cost and quality assessments.
- Develop strategies for mitigating supply chain disruptions and responding to material shortages.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Generate reports and provide insights on supply chain performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain optimization tools.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools.
- APICS certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of transportation logistics and warehouse management.
