Technical Training Web-Based Curriculum Developer
Pay: $56.80/hr
Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Position overview:
The Technical Training Web-Based Curriculum Developer will design and develop engaging web-based training (WBT) courses and other digital learning materials for technicians. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, interactive training solutions that enhance technical expertise across the network. The ideal candidate must have a creative mind and great attention to detail to develop engaging and visually appealing training materials.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, design, and implement web-based training (WBT) courses following established curriculum development standards, including ADDIE or similar models.
• Create detailed storyboards and instructional design plans that align with technical training objectives.
• Ensure all digital learning content is SCORM-compliant and integrates seamlessly
• Utilize SCORM package authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Rise to produce interactive e-learning modules.
• Develop multimedia content using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator, to enhance digital training materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex technical information into clear and engaging learning experiences.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and user testing of training materials to ensure accuracy, usability, and engagement.
• Ensure all training content adheres to corporate identity standards to maintain brand consistency.
• Stay up to date with advancements in automotive technology, digital learning trends, and instructional design best practices.
• Manage multiple training development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content.
• Work closely with trainers, developers, and instructional designers at an international level (PAG, and other markets) to continuously improve training content and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education:
• Course of study in web-based curriculum development
Experience:
• 5 years of experience in web-based training design and development.
• Expertise in instructional design models such as ADDIE and experience with curriculum development standards.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex automotive concepts into digestible learning materials.
• Proficiency in SCORM and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) across the board.
• Advanced skills with SCORM package authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rise/Storyline, or similar).
• Strong experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and other relevant tools.
• Experience in technical training (preferably automotive) or a similar field.
• Basic JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative mindset with great attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality learning materials.
• A portfolio of previous web-based training and e-learning content is required of all applicants in order to demonstrate the abilities called for above.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in automotive training development.
• Familiarity with automotive systems and technologies.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation tools is a plus.
• Experience working in a new car dealership.
• German language experience
